These large Swallows fly VERY rapidly and feed in midair. This female caught a bug in flight as I watched. It looked like a tiny aerial acrobat.

I was recently visiting family in Florida and photographed my first ever Barred Owl. These creatures are Large and unlike most other owls, have brown eyes. I saw this one landing in a tree with feet out in front of him (or her). They make surprisingly no noise when they fly.
This is such a magnificent bird! His rusty colored shoulders and white rump are so gorgeous in flight. I captured this image in a field in South Texas.
I was recently visiting the Viera Wetlands on a rainy overcast day. I was ready with my camera but not expecting much action. I stopped because a Bald Eagle flew overhead, which I totally missed. I decided to sit for a while, thinking the day for capturing images was going to be unproductive, when this little rocket popped out of the water with a fish!
