This Canada Goose is flying all alone, but we ordinarily encounter them in flocks flying in the typical V formation. The more mature Geese take turns leading the flock. The Canada Goose is a very large Goose with a wingspan of 60-66 inches. They are extremely common on small or large bodies of water and lawns and golf courses or farm fields. They forage on grasses and grain. Canada Geese mate for life and the pair stays together throughout the year. They don’t find a mate and reproduce until their fourth year, so maybe this is a youthful unmarried Goose.
